Small Victory

Ladies and Gentleman,

It may be a small victory but it is a great achievement for the small rural community of Dunamon, Co. Roscommon.

Farmer Michael Hussey and his tight-knit community forced the telecommunications company, Vodaphone, to remove a mast which they had piggy-backed on a Tetra mast.

The community took placement of the Tetra mast to court where lawyers argued successfully that the mast was necessary for "national security".

The attachment is an account of the Hussey family's on-going fight.

Special thanks should be extended to the Roscommon Herald for following the issue with integrity.

Kind regards,

John Weigel
